First time slower, but it's worth it!About types of files
FLV
FLV was once the go-to format for streaming video on the web, especially on platforms like Twitch before the rise of MP4. It’s optimized for online playback, making it great for streaming or recording but less ideal for other uses. While it’s still supported by some older systems and platforms, FLV has largely fallen out of favor as newer formats like MP4 offer better compression and quality.
However, FLV remains popular to many, for example a lot of OBS Studio users still uses it for recording because it has a unique advantage: if a recording session crashes or there's insufficient disk space on the machine, the FLV file can often still be read and recovered.
This makes it a reliable choice for those who want to minimize the risk of losing their footage.
WMV
WMV, developed by Microsoft, is a format known for its ability to compress video to small file sizes while maintaining decent quality. It&apos,s ideal for sharing and streaming over the internet, particularly for users on Windows-based platforms.
Windows Media Video (WMV) files are supported by a variety of Windows devices and applications but may require conversion for use on non-Windows systems like Macs or Androids.
