About types of files

WAV

WAV is an uncompressed audio format that provides the best possible sound quality, often used in professional audio recording and editing.

Unlike compressed formats like MP3 or AAC, WAV files are large and not ideal for streaming or sharing online.

However, they are preferred for high-fidelity recordings, making them the go-to format for audiophiles and professionals in the music industry.

M4A

M4A is an audio format similar to AAC and is often used for music and audiobooks, especially within Apple's ecosystem.

It offers better sound quality than MP3 at similar file sizes, making it a popular choice for digital downloads from platforms like iTunes.

Because of it similarity with MP4 (they both use MPEG4 codec) M4A files are compatible with most modern devices, though they're most commonly associated with Apple products.
