About the conversion types

WEBM

WEBM is a modern open-source video format optimized for web use, often used for streaming on platforms like YouTube and social media websites.

It provides high-quality video at smaller file sizes, making it efficient for online playback.
It is designed to work seamlessly with HTML5, which makes it a top choice for video content embedded in websites.

Note: We even ourselves use WEBM files to showcase some animations.

However, it may not be as widely supported by offline media players, although it works well in most modern web browsers.

MKV

MKV is a flexible, open-source video format designed to hold multiple streams of video, audio, and even subtitles within a single file.

It's often used for high-quality video and is popular among media enthusiasts for streaming or downloading movies and TV shows.

The Matroska Video or MKV supports many features that other formats don't, but it may not be as widely compatible with all devices, requiring specific media players like VLC.

For example, even Adobe Premiere Pro one of the most successful editing software in the market does not support this format natively.
